Train to Lucerne

The plan

• Morning — TGV from Paris (Gare de Lyon) to Basel SBB, about 3 hours.
• Afternoon — Transfer at Basel, then onward to Luzern, about 1h 15m. Check into the hotel, wander the Old Town along the Reuss river. The Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke) is steps away from most central hotels.
• Evening — 🎂 Braden's 22nd birthday — light celebration somewhere along the lake.

Tip

Swiss trains run precisely on time. Be on the platform 5 minutes early. Big luggage goes in the racks at the ends of the cars; carry-ons stay overhead.
