Petřín Lookout Tower
viewphoto spotkid-friendly
A 1/5-scale homage to the Paris Eiffel Tower, built just two years after it. Because Petřín Hill is higher than Champ-de-Mars, the tower's tip ends up at roughly the same elevation above sea level as the real one.
Built for the 1891 Jubilee Exhibition as a Czech answer to Paris. The funicular up the hill is closed for reconstruction into Q3 2026 — check status before you go and otherwise allow a 20-minute uphill walk through Petřín Park (lovely in itself). Climb it for the rooftop panorama if you're up for the stairs; note it closes at 19:00 in summer (before sunset), and there's a lift for an extra fee.
